Weird vale HRP-4C dances and sings her way

AIST’s HRP-4C fashion robot has dramatically improved since we first saw “her” strut her stuff on the runway.

She’s so mesmerizing in fact; that we bet you’ll barely notice the quartet of scantily clad dancers around her. Watch her tear it down in a pair of videos.

I was listening to an All Songs Considered podcast about electronic music the other day and the two guys discussing the topic said that music using new digital technology rather than old synths and drum machines can sound too cold and “perfect.” I would say the same thing about this robot. What makes it spooky is that it’s too precise in its movements. They need to find a way to introduce some variability in its hand positioning and arm swings.

Also, listen to How to Destroy Angels. Thank you.

I can think of worse things than robots breaking down my door and dancing in

I guess we have different priorities. I couldn’t take my eyes off those legs! Pure hotness.
