The Google Wallet is an NFC-based mobile payment service, Google has officially announced. So far, Google Wallet won the support of many retailers, such as Subway, Macy, Walgreens, the Toys “R Us, a First Data, the Citibank, MasterCard and Sprint. Speaking MasterCard means that this partnership with Google that Google Wallet is fully compatible with the payment system Pay Pass.
Currently, the Sprint Nexus 4G S wallet just Google phone will be compatible, but Google plans to add support for other phones in the future. Google has even suggested that mobile phones without built-in NFC may be able to Google Wallet, thanks to the NFC sticker to use, but Google Wallet application will not work on phones.
As for the Google Wallet is currently being tested in New York and San Francisco and will have to see the full text of this service in the summer.
